| Digital Audio CD Recorders
If you are using a consumer audio recorder or duplication system,
the only discs these machines will accept are "Digital Audio" CDs.
The following list of brand names are among those that will
function only with a genuine audio CD.
- TDK DA-3826
- SIMA | MIX DA Recorders
- TEAC RW-D250
- Aiwa XRMR5
- Philips CD-R 770/760
- Hitachi DVWIU
- Harmon Kardon CDR2
These systems look for a special code stamped on audio CDs when
being manufactured. This code is not stamped on general purpose or
data CD-Rs. This code cannot be written or altered with a CD
recorder.
Why? Because a portion of the price
of an audio CD-R is a levy or royalty that is distributed among
recording artists. Since audio CD-Rs are used to duplicate
copyrighted materials, it is appropriate to compensate the artists
for this capability by buying audio CD-Rs sold for this purpose.
AV MediaPlace honors and upholds Title
17. Chapter 11. Sec. 1101 of our U.S. Copyright law. In so
doing, we endorse the system described above and encourage you to
comply with this law.
For blank recordable media usable in these machines, we invite you
to consider Ritek Digital Audio CDs. |
