The Rimage thermal printer can print CDs at up to 300 X 600 dpi. and has a printing speed ranging from 15 to 50 seconds per disc (depending on image resolution and printer mode).

As thermal transfers are used in the print process the drying time required for some other printing methods is eliminated.  Cost per copy is also very affordable when compared to other printing methods. The low cost thermal ribbon can produce 500 color images or using a single color ribbon 1500 mono images can be produced, based upon full disc coverage.  Partial coverage or spot printing dramatically increases ribbon life.
